A project to generate excitement about asset management within the RATP’s GDI (Infrastructure Management) department.
The GDI Directorate wished to obtain an assessment of how the department manages its assets. The assignment set out to establish good practice in railway asset management (maintenance policies, management organisation, processes, culture), to identify the gaps between that good practice and RATP’s own, and to derive a prioritised action plan for improving practice.
The assignment drew on analysis of management documentation and on interviews, within the methodological framework of the ISO 55000 standard and its associated publications.
It resulted in an action plan designed to improve asset management practice within GDI.
