Railway safety management

The DGSF commissioned an audit of railway safety management within the organisation. The auditors issued a number of recommendations, two of which the DGSF wished to see supported by a proposed method and support programme.

The assignment aims to:

• Identify improvement needs and the levers for achieving them
• Support railway safety management in strengthening how safety culture is fostered
• Contribute to implementing the action plan through projects, by creating collective momentum

The assignment rests on a diagnosis of human and organisational factors and of prevailing concerns, on building a shared understanding of the assignment’s objectives among the sponsors, and on selecting ambassadors.
