Context and objectives
As part of network access charging, Infrabel is required to calculate direct costs in accordance with European regulation.
The assignment involved assessing the share of costs directly attributable to the operation of rail services, as required by various regulatory texts.
Approach and results
The approach consisted of validating the categories of technical installations and the activities to be included in direct costs, substantiating their inclusion, and validating the incorporation percentages for each major category of technical installation (I-AM) or activity (I-TMS).
